KSNPC's Natural Heritage Database is maintained and administered by Data Services / Information Management staff. The data enables KSNPC to track and monitor species and ecological communities, and assist in identifying, evaluating and planning related to land protection strategies. Additionally the database is utilized to conduct environmental reviews in an effort to reduce impacts from various types of projects. Federal and state agencies, private consultants, non-profits and citizens also utilize products generated by KSNPC to assist them in making informed decisions about proposed activities throughout the state.
