The Short’s Goldenrod Festival is a celebration of one of the rarest plants in Kentucky and the United States. Your participation in the 5K run and one-mile walk will help provide protection for this unique plant. All proceeds go towards restoration efforts of Short's Goldenrod.
The course begins with a long downhill stretch to the Licking River where it flattens out to a scenic stretch ending on a woodland trail. The trail portion of the course (0.8 miles) is nice and wide with a medium uphill stretch leading runners back to the pavement.
