The Short’s Goldenrod Festival is a celebration of one of the rarest plants in Kentucky and the United States. Your participation in the 5K run and one-mile walk will help provide protection for this unique plant. All proceeds go towards restoration efforts of Short's Goldenrod.

Course:
The course begins with a long downhill stretch to the Licking River where it flattens out to a scenic stretch ending on a woodland trail. The trail portion of the course (0.8 miles) is nice and wide with a medium uphill stretch leading runners back to the pavement.

Registration:
The entry fee of $10 includes a T-shirt, trophies to top finishers and breakfast. Registration on race day will be $15. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed to runners who register after Sept. 12, 2007. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K run and one-mile walk will begin at 9 a.m.
Please Note: Registration table will be located by the swimming pool.

Awards:
Trophies will be presented to the top three male and female finishers and the top three finishers in each age group. See registration form for a list of age groups.

Directions:
The state park is in Robertson County just north of the Licking River on US 68. From Maysville, take US 68 south 25 miles to park entrance; from Paris, take US 68 north 23 miles to park entrance; from Cynthiana take KY 32/36 east 14 miles to US 68, take US 68 north 9 miles to park entrance.
